Mr. Brain has chaired the firm litigation group since formation of the firm in 1978. He has tried many commercial cases in Washington state and federal courts as well as a number of cases in other states. He has been a speaker at a number of CLE courses on complex litigation issues. Mr. Brain is also experienced in real estate development and the acquisition, construction and sale of commercial and retail projects. He has extensive experience both as a participant in arbitration and mediation cases as an attorney as well as acting as an arbitrator through AAA, King County Mandatory Arbitration and as an independent mediator selected by counsel.
