Partner, Byrnes & Keller LLP, 1984-present; Partner, Bogle & Gates, 1962-84.

Experience
Engaged in trial practice continuously since 1962, trying in excess of 150 jury and nonjury cases in state and federal courts, litigating cases in arbitration and before federal regulatory agencies, and handling grand jury investigations throughout the United States. Types of cases tried include antitrust, commercial, securities, personal injury, products liability, patents, construction, federal tax, eminent domain, inverse condemnation, corporate disputes, insurance, professional liability, patent, and white-collar crime. Serve as Special Trial Counsel to the Washington State Judicial Commission.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience
Served as a mediator or arbitrator in approximately 200 cases. Arbitration experience includes service as sole arbitrator and as part of three person arbitration panels. Also involved in numerous mediations and arbitrations as counsel for a party. Has handled a wide variety of complex commercial cases including general business, contract, securities, real estate, antitrust, patent, construction, professional liability, personal injury, and eminent domain disputes. Arbitrations and mediations have been in various industries including, forest products, computer technology, insurance, construction, telecommunications, sports, health care, fishing, airplane parts, publishing, real estate, medical equipment, transportation, agriculture, and manufacturing.

Multi-Party Dispute Resolution Experience
Many of the cases handled as an arbitrator and mediator involve multiple parties. Extensive experience in class action litigation and in multi-party cases as a litigator, as well as experience serving as an arbitrator and mediator in cases involving class actions.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Training
AAA Arbitrator I Training-Fundamentals of the Arbitration Process, Seattle, 12/04. Attended and participated in numerous CLE training sessions on Alternative Dispute Resolution; conducted Alternative Dispute Resolution training for ALAS annual meeting, Vancouver, B.C., December 2000.

Also has spoken at American College of Trial Lawyers meetings and has spoken at American Bar Association meetings on antitrust, grand jury investigations, and a variety of trial-related topics. Conducted a two-day mediation session for ALAS members at its annual meeting.
