Legal Experience and Work History
Founding partner in McNaul Ebel Nawrot Helgren & Vance, P.L.L.C., 1995 to present

Began practice in Seattle with the firm of Culp, Dwyer, Guterson & Grader in 1970 becoming a partner in the firm in 1972. Remained with the firm until its dissolution in 1995

Trial attorney, Federal Trade Commission, Division of Mergers, in Washington D.C., 1968-1970

Law Practice
Personal practice areas include complex commercial litigation, intellectual property law, antitrust, employment law, and construction law. Practice has included many substantial (2-5 month) trials in federal and state courts for private and public litigants. Have served as Special Assistant Attorney General in major construction cases (including sinking of I-90 Floating Bridge and construction of the Washington State Convention and Trade Center). Have been appointed by various federal court judges in the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington to serve as Special Master.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience
More than fifteen years experience serving as a mediator and arbitrator. Have been selected to serve as a mediator to resolve a large number of cases in federal and state court regarding complex commercial litigation, employment and construction law, as well as antitrust law and breach of contract, intellectual property rights and environmental issues.

Have served as arbitrator in many cases in a wide variety of practice areas.
